8Bit Proof Episode 03: The Nintendo Power Hour

In response to the very sad announcement that Nintendo Power will discontinue publication for good this December, we pay homage to the magazine that helped mold us into the fine gentlemen we are today. Join us as we mark the end of an era in true 8Bit Proof fashion.

This memorial episode includes:

  • An ill-advised, sixty shot salute to the company that helped shape our lives, and the modern gaming industry.
  • A gag-inducing contest where one lucky listener turns our pain into their gain.
  • An intimate listener FAP session regarding classic Nintendo titles that stand the test of time.
  • Hurt feelings and slurred speech in two very different FMKs.

So whether you started on the NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, or Wii, let us touch your hearts and tickle your nostalgia boners.  Prepare for a sentimental and very inebriated trip down Rainbow Road.

(Please note that this episode of 8Bit Proof originally aired the summer of 2012, on BlastMagazine.com. Therefore, the majority of the subject matter may be a bit dated, and references to our home website and its staff are no longer accurate.  Also, any entries received for contests mentioned during this particular episode are no longer are not valid (duh). However we do love listener participation, so anything we receive will be kindly mentioned during the taping of the newest edition of the podcast.)
