Three Fields Entertainment announced via a series of tweets that they will be releasing their multiplayer sports game in Spring 2016. What’s most important though, is that they will then start work on a new driving game which will have “Speed. Traffic. And Crashing. Lots and lots of crashing.”

The game doesn’t have a title yet, but the company is asking fans for what Burnout title they should use as a model. Using any of the last three main games is enough to be reassured this could be incredible. Three Fields Entertainment was also founded by Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry, both of whom were with Criterion and worked on the Burnout franchise. So it’s highly unlikely this can be anything but satisfying.
