The UK website for Call of Duty has confirmed that the next Call of Duty game is indeed a sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops. Take a look at the official trailer and let us know what you think.

The website states this about the game: : “Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare. Pre-order today.”

The site also shows the game’s world reveal trailer on YouTube. The video, however, is currently private and cannot be viewed. It does appear that L.A. is under attack from what can be seen.

Leaked screenshots for Call of Duty: Black Ops II seem to confirm that the game will be set in a near future setting. The official site also has space for two screenshots, which are dark with the words “Coming Soon.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is scheduled for a November 2012 release.
