First Saturday of May is Free Comic Book Day!

The first Saturday in May is known as Free Comic Book Day. It is a chance to grab some free comics and get back into the comics that you enjoyed as a child and find out about new stories. Search for your local participating comic book store from the official site and plan on visiting the store early! Often there will be artists, sales on merchandise and other events taking place. It is a fun day for the entire family! Many stores will offer kid-friendly comics. Make sure to bring your kiddies so they too can enjoy the day. There will be plenty of people who share the same interest to prompt conversations. It is a day for comic lovers to get together and celebrate stories and art.  If you have never heard of Free Comic Book Day, watch the video above and learn why the 1st Saturday in May is important. Happy Reading!
