Stompy Bot to Develop Locke & Key Games

[Locke & Key, IDW Publishing]

Comic book fans will be interested to know that The Powell Group has announced they have brokered a partnership between IDW Publishing and Stompy Bot Productions (Heavy Gear). The partnership entails that Stompy Bot will be designing and developing games based on the massively popular, best-selling graphic novel series Locke & Key.

The Locke & Key series is well-known for its intricately woven dark tales of the macabre, with stellar writing from Joe Hill (Horns, NOS4A2 ) and unsettling, chilling art from Gabriel Rodriguez. The series has been a fan-favorite ever since its first release in 2007, and continued to garner praise, popularity, and awards throughout its six-year run.

Even the president of Stompy Bot, James Taylor, commented that – “Our entire team is made up of longtime comics fans and in particular the Locke & Key series. We can’t wait to get started on creating games that will be incredible fan experiences while staying true to the spirit of Locke & Key.”

According to Stompy Bot, the Locke & Key games will be developed for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms. You can check out Stompy Bot’s website here.
