New Witcher 3 Screenshots Feature the Islands of Skellige

CD Projekt RED has released a handful of new screenshots for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that show off the snow covered islands of Skellige; a new area that players will explore during their travels. Surprisingly enough, the images are from an early build of the game, while the development team creates a new renderer. Holy crap.

“As players travel through the game, they visit lands with their own unique atmosphere, communities and memorable characters. CD Projekt RED didn’t create an open world with a singular theme, but concentrated on delivering diversified and engaging environments, 30 times larger than those in The Witcher 2.” said Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt RED studio.

Check out the screens below and do you best to imagine the game looking better than it already does.
