Xbox One and PC Skype Group Video Calls Now Free

Making one to one video calls is a free feature on Skype, but one thing that wasn’t free was group video chats. In the past you would have needed a premium membership to Skype. That is no longer the case, beginning today Skype group video chats will be free on Xbox One and PC.

4“Whether for my cycling team or your catch-ups, meet ups, huddles, reunions, nights out, study groups, painting clubs, family ‘get-togethers’ or whatever group you participate in, Skype is committed to making group communications simple, easy and fun for everyone – now and in the years to come!” – Phillip Snaleune

Skype received an update back in March, which included improved chat and contact filtering, more here.

On very rare occasions I venture outside to do some hiking or grocery shopping. Slightly indecisive, constantly looking for bigger televisions.
