MTG Ixalan Block Coming This Month

A new plane is discovered in the multiverse of the trading card game Magic the Gathering. Ixalan is a plane filled with secrets, mysteries, pirates, vampires and… dinosaurs. The MTG website describes this intriguing new story:

“For centuries, the untamed jungles of Ixalan have hidden a coveted secret: Orazca, the city of gold. But no secret can remain undiscovered, and no treasure can be taken uncontested. Unfurl your sails, saddle up a dinosaur, and battle your rivals as you embark on a journey to claim the plane’s greatest fortune for yourself!”

This city of gold is coveted by all manor of creatures from humans to merfolk to orcs and even vampires. All want to not only see Orazca but steal it away as well. What other world can a planeswalker ride upon a dinosaur or sail along with pirates other than Ixalan?

You can join in the at the Pre-Release events during the weekend of September 23 – 24. If you are more of a draft player, the Draft Weekend is September 30 – October 1. MTG Online will begin to offer Ixalan packs beginning September 25. Physical packs, boxes and tool kits will be available for purchase at retail stores beginning September 29.
